Friday Night Lights- Huntington Beach

Nimfa Pontillas is our HB Cheer Coordinator.  She has been running our cheer program for the past 2 years.  She has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop.  She was on Drill Team and a Songleader at Los Alamitos High School. Having 2 daughters who were extremely involved in dance gave her the experience and insight to running dance competitions, recitals and various performances.  She is currently working at Center Stage Dance Academy in Long Beach.


Our FNL Cheer Directors are  Nida (Nafarrete) Pagett and Annette Morris.  Together they have over 20 years experience instructing both dance and cheer.  

Nida has extensive experience in performing, teaching, and coaching both dance and cheer for over 20 years.  She received her degree in dance from UC Irvine and her cheer experience includes Los Alamitos High, UC Irvine, and the Los Angeles Rams Cheer Program.  Nida spent 5 years as an  instructor for the US Spiritleaders Cheer and Dance organization.  She also taught jazz, hip hop and lyrical at Center Stage Dance Academy in Long Beach for 6 years.

Annette has been extensively involved in teaching cheer at the competition level and has over 10 years of cheerleading experience. She spent her high school years cheering for Downey High School. Her leadership has taken her cheer squads from San Diego to Florida to compete at the national level. She also spent three years with Los Alamitos Pop Warner where she directed her teams to Nationals as both the assistant coordinator and head coordinator.
